Is there a general purpose simulator that yields shading coefficient for
various window/awning geometries? I'm particularly interested in modeling
curved awning shapes, exterior light shelf, and optimizing:
-shading for cooling load reduction,
-little interference w/ winter heat gain, and
-enhanced daylighting (penetration into room, illumination of high surfaces,
etc.) throughout the year.
Having nothing to do with emotion (heaven forbid!) the shape could be
[( ] with the right bracket the window sill, a slot above the ( awning
bounces daylight through the top ~1/4 of window opening.
Thanks!
