[BLDG-SIM] metal bracing in wood construction

Hi,

I was looking for some information regarding the amount of metal bracing being used in wood stud wall construction for seismic reasons in California. Wanted to estimate the change in U-values becoz of the addition of steel to the wood construction and its impact on the energy performance. Would appreciate any references to source of such data, ........and in the lack of, any anecdotal evidence of how much steel does typically get added to shear walls.
