[BLDG-SIM] VAV fume hood exhaust

Unless you can predict exactly how the fume cupbards will be utilised, is there a need to model them as VAV?  I used DOE-2.2 a couple of years ago to look at a similar arrangement and we diversified the fume cupboards so that we effectively modelled a constant exhaust rate.  Set this up as a parameter and then run for different values to see how sensitive performane is to fume cupboard use / diversity ...

  Has anyone modeled a VAV fume hood exhaust for a laboratory in eQuest? Since the laboratory requires 100% outside air, a return fan is not simulated obviously. The exhaust fan part on the air-handling unit fan page of eQuest doesn't seem to be able to be modeled. If I put the exhaust in each zone, then I can't specify that the fans are VAV. Please let me know if you have had luck with modeling this type of system in eQuest.
