[bldg-sim] eQUEST / DOE-2.2 Training Workshop in Toronto May 17th & 18th

My apologies for the short notice, but there are some spaces available for a
Sustainable Buildings Canada 2-day workshop on DOE-2.2 and eQUEST given by
Marlin Addison in Toronto next Monday and Tuesday - May 17th and 18th.

 

 

Preliminary Agenda 

Day One: 8:30am - 5:00pm Schematic Design using eQUEST

 Demo & Overview of eQUEST Intro to Simulation using eQUEST Schematic Design
Wizard Energy Efficiency Measures Wizard Lunch (provided) Design Development
Wizard Importing DWG files into eQUEST eQUEST Graphical Reports Intro to
eQUEST/DOE-2 reports 

Day Two: 8:30am - 5:00pm Detailed Design using eQUEST

 DOE-2 simulation methodology basics Using the Detailed Interface:
schedules, constructions, geometry, shading, glass options, daylighting
Lunch (provided) Modeling Topics "requests" Expressions & Parametric
Modeling Air-Side & Water-Side Simulation Detailed (DOE-2) Output Reports
Quality Control Procedures

 

Workshop Location 

The workshop is hosted by Sustainable Buildings Canada and will be held at
the Radisson Hotel Toronto East, 55 Hallcrown Place, Toronto ON. 

 

eQUESTR Software eQUESTR is freeware, provided courtesy of the California's
Energy Design Resources. All attendees will receive a copy of eQUEST on CD,
along with a training workbook. Download eQUEST free from www.doe2.com.

 

Computers 

Bring your own computer.  (This is a hands-on workshop)  No computers are
being provided. Download and install eQUEST beforehand (see above) or come
30 min. early to load. minimum specs: Win 98+, 256 MB RAM recommended: Win
NT+, 512 MB RAM 

 

Registration Fee 

The registration fee is $550 per attendee which covers both days, including
materials, meals coffee etc. Enrollment is limited to 20. Prompt
registration is suggested to ensure a space. Register via fax, or email (see
last page of this announcement).
