Nesen,
I have been working in collaboration with Victor Olgyay on a design tool that runs off Microsoft Excel, that uses a building's balance point temperature to determine optimum shading angles (profile angles) for different facades. Its still in the beta test version, and I am working on getting it done within the next 3 months. I would be happy to let you, (and anyone else who is interested) try it out. I would love feedback. I'm not sure if I am allowed to send a 2+ megabyte attachment to this list, so if anyone is interested, I will be happy to reply individually with the attachment.
good luck

Subject: SPAM: [BLDG-SIM] simulation for sun shading devices
Hi all,
I need a tool to analyze performance of the sun shading elements on the facade of a 42.000 m. square building. Any recommendations (calculation method or software) would be very helpfull... :)
Regards..
