Rich,

We use ESim, which is available free of charge at
www.engr.udayton.edu/faculty/jkissock/. ESim makes it very easy to
calibrate simulated and measured energy use and explore energy savings
opportunities.

Best,

Kelly

Does anyone have experience in using one of the building simulation tools
for
commercial/institutional energy audits? I am looking for software to
assist
mainly in evaluating the economics of various energy efficiency measures
such as
boiler upgrades, insulation, window replacements, controls, etc. The
building
types are generally churches, schools, office/retail, multi-family. Also
looking for software to assist in utility bill analysis, but that may not
be in
this sector.

Would appreciate your thoughts about the applicability of any of the DOE or
3rd
party tools. Thanks for any input you might have.
