Dear All,

The Institute for Research in Construction, Canada's leading centre for
construction-related research, is seeking a research officer to join its
Indoor Environment Program.

Your Challenge

The successful candidate will initiate, develop, conduct and manage
research, in areas related to ventilation, thermal comfort, and indoor air
quality. The position also involves putting research into practice by
developing technologies and guidelines, and communicating research findings
to industry practitioners and other interested parties.

Your Credentials

A PhD in Mechanical Engineering or other related discipline. Experience in
laboratory and field experiments of airflow, ventilation, and/or indoor air
quality to obtain input and validation data for airflow model development is
essential; a proven track record of high quality published work in this area
is highly desirable. Experience with instrumentation and method development
for natural and mechanical ventilation, and/or thermal comfort, and a solid
background in network and CFD (computational fluid dynamics) modelling of
airflows and contaminant transport in the indoor environment. Familiarity
with the building industry and principles of sustainable built environments.

with a superior benefits package. Relocation costs may be negotiable.
