                    450 Glenarm Place, (located 2-3 blocks from the Adams Mark Hotel, the main ASHRAE meeting hotel)
                    Denver, CO

4:00 PM - 5:30 PM    Meeting Topic:  Education and Training Needs for Simulation in Sustainable Design
                    General discussion of needs, followed by a detailed review of a 'straw man' proposal for a half-day training
                    workshop aimed at producing informed clients for simulation services.
                    IBPSA-USA's aim is to offer the workshop in conjunction with USGBC Chapters.
 
5:30 PM - 6:00 PM    Meeting Topic:  Planning for SimBuild 2006
                    SimBuild 2006 is IBPSA-USA's next conference to be held in July or August 2006.
                    The main topic for discussion will be development of a program aimed at practitioners, with an emphasis on sustainable design.

6:00 PM - 7:00 PM    Social hour with cash bar

7:00 PM    Dinner

8:00 PM (approx)    After-dinner talk: Current and Future Impacts of LEED on the Simulation Market

Malcolm Lewis

Dr. Lewis is a consulting engineer who specializes in mechanical, electrical and energy systems for buildings  and industrial processes.  He has over 30 years' experience in the engineering design, analysis, and construction observa­tion of mechanical and electrical systems of buildings. He is registered in Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical engineering and brings a broad perspective to the resolution of construction disputes.

Dr. Lewis has been the Engineer of Record for numerous new construction and renovation projects for commercial, institutional, residential and industrial facilities, totaling over 20 million square feet. He is known internationally for his expertise in the design of energy-efficient buildings and brings a broad perspective to the development of sustainably designed and energy efficient buildings. His experience includes five years during the 1970's as an executive responsible for product engineering for one of the largest home-building firms in the U.S. He continues to direct the engineering analysis and design of buildings in his work.

Dr. Lewis is active in the application of "sustainable design" to the design and construction of "green buildings." He has led CTG's involvement in over 150 green buildings in the past seven years. He served as a Director of the U.S. Green Building Council from 1997 to 2002, and is actively involved in the development of their LEED(tm) Green Building Rating system.
