In DOE-2 you could make a dummy zone that has a 100% AHU that apx. the outside air unit and lump the answer with the main unit w/o outside air.

However, a better approach would be the dual path system that Prof. Brandemuehl at CU developed for EPRI using the HVAC02 toolkit, which would then need to be attached to your loads simulation.

Subject: [BLDG-SIM] eQUEST: Yet another Dedicated Outdoor Air Question

Hi all,
I am simulating a building with a dedicated outdoor
air unit which serves makeup air to several other air
handling units in the building. I have followed
previous instructions( OA from System) for simulating
this system and it seems to be going well.
Since for the DOA, the outdoor air control is set as
fixed fraction at 100%, is there a way of simulation a
bypass OA damper in the DOA to run an economizer?
Also, does anyone know how the new version of equest
with demand control ventilation tie in with OA from
System.

Thanks
Gerald
