[bldg-sim] Schedules

Depends on what you're trying to do.

If you want "typical" schedules, then I'd suggest any of the ASHRAE papers from 1093-RP Diversity Factor study. This has 40+ hourly profiles from S,M,L building in selected climates. It also has a swell lit review. The ELCAP study also had some useful profiles for buildings in the Pacific Northwest. There are also profiles in the 90.1 1989 Standard If you want to roll-your own (I.e., if you have hourly data), you can get a copy of the final report of 1093 from Mike Vaughn at ASHRAE for $30. This comes with a spreadsheet w/macros that make the 24 hour profiles and makes schedule snippets for import into DOE-2, BLAST, or EP. These should help with lighting, and receptacle loads, and can be used for occupancy profiles.

If you have an HVAC system with ventilation air that puts the building in positive pressure, the prevaling wisdom is to shut-off the infiltration when the system is on, although I don't recall ever seeing any data to buttress this claim.

Hope this helps.

Subject: [bldg-sim] Schedules

Hello!
I am modeling a small office building in DOE-2.1e.
I wanted to know where I could find information for the occupancy, infiltration and equipment schedules.
Thanks,
Jaya Mukhopadhyay
