[bldg-sim] How to resolve unconditioned zones

Hi Nicole:

Simple, simple, simple..

Unconditioned zones (in DOE-2 or eQuest) may be
assigned to ANY SYSTEM. But they must be assigned to
SOME SYSTEM (at least in DOE-2.1E). They just don't
contribute to the SYSTEM heating and/or cooling load.
Just ancillary electric or gas load. Like
OUTSIDE-LIGHTS. It could also be kitchen cooking load,
that doesn't add to internal load, but must be
accounted for somehow.

Also, if an unconditioned space abuts a conditioned
space, one describes the unconditioned space, then
attaches it (NEXT-TO) to the appropriate wall of the
conditioned zone. The time dependent heat tranfer rate
will add heat at the appropriate time to the
unconditioned space, and thus transfer the load to the
conditioned space.

Forgot if this is a DOE-2.1E or eQuest question....
