There is a generic fuel cell model in ESP-r which, depending on
the specific type of fuel cell you want to model. The fuel cell
component could be linked in with an electrical network of
ESP-r as well as the environmental system network so that the
co-generation can be tested under complex demand patterns.
I know that Natural Resources Canada have been
active in this area and might be in a position to assist with
such a model. Iain Beausoleil-Morrison at NRCan would be
a useful contact <ibeausol at NRCan.gc.ca>.

ESP-r can also accept descriptions of various
phase change materials. It is quite amazing to see
surfaces with phase-change layers taking a massive heat
load with only a slight drift in temperatures. A good contact
for this would be Dariusz Heim <darkheim at p.lodz.pl> to
check to see whether the type you have in mind is already
encoded and to get advise on setting up models.
