Subject: [bldg-sim] Modelling an automatic radiation responsive exterior pull down shade

Hello everyone:
I am now encountered a problem in modeling an automatic pull down exterior shades of a window, and am seeking your help. The radiation responsive exterior shade will be triggered when the radiation arrives on the exterior surface of the window pane exceeds a certain amount (say 30btu/ft2hr). Since there is a relatively good insulation properties of the exterior shade (say U-value= 1.1 W/m2h), I would like to let DOE2 to take the insulation effect of the shades when it is deployed into consideration. Do you have any suggestions on how to model this?

Any slight comments will be highly appreciated!

best regards
