[bldg-sim] Modelling an automatic radiation responsive exterior pull down shade

Keith,

Under window properties, there is a tab called: "Blinds - Slats -
Drapes". Here is what eQuest says:

If the heat gain transmitted through the window from direct solar
radiation (with the shades and blinds not covering the glazing) exceeds
the Maximum Solar Schedule threshold value, the shading device covers
the window (and DOE-2 uses the Shading Schedule to calculate the solar
transmittance of the window and shade). Both the Shading Schedule and
the Conductance Schedule will only be used when the direct solar gain is
greater than the Maximum Solar Schedule threshold value.

Specify a "Maximum Solar Schedule", then specify a corresponding
"Shading Schedule" for the window.

Is this what you were looking for? Hope this helps,

 - Grant
