PVFCHART and DOE-2 can be used in combination. There's a PhD thesis on this by Keith Sylvester at Texas A&M. It shows you actually save more $ on the cooling reduction from the shade from the BIPV than the electricity generated.

dear all, i am trying to do simulation for bipv and bipv/t in residential buildings for annual eletricity yield and energy efficiency.
what programs are available for that research purpose? is espr suitable or should i use pv program PV sol or PvSyst?
is espr good for that simulation? 
it will be highly appreciated if you can give any suggestion
