google on LTTR (long term thermal resistance); products which use air as a blowing agent do not change in r-value due to outgassing; some argue that hermetically sealed insulations (encased in metal in one example) cannot outgas and retain their initial high R-value, but a perfect seal or delayed loss ?

Subject: [BLDG-SIM] Insulation Values
Does thermal conductivity of polyisocyanurate roof insulation change over time?
Will the R-value decrease over time? There seems to be conflicting information about this.
