I reccomend the Building Envelopes Program website. They are a part of
the Buildings Technology Center at Oakridge National Lab.
http://www.ornl.gov/sci/roofs+walls/
The R-value database they have created is a really good resource.
Another good source is ASHRAE's "Heat Tramission Coefficients for Walls,
Roofs, Ceilings and Floors".

Subject: [bldg-sim] Batt Insulation Derating
Hi all,
Does anyone know of any good values/research to use for derating
the R-value of batt insulation in a (residential) wall stud cavity as it
settles over time? I've heard recently that an R-19 can often perform
around R-13, and would like to find a second source.
Thanks,
Aleka
