Holly:

Solar PV is for electric generation only. Unfortunately, there IS NO
solar thermal (DHW or otherwise) currently in eQUEST. My understanding
of the best and quickest way to develop this energy savings is to use
the RET Screen software, developed in Canada, I believe. The software is
free.

Do the rest of your analysis in eQUEST, then do a separate calculation
in one of the RETScreen programs for you solar DHW savings. It appears
quite comprehensive and is easy to use.

Subject: [BLDG-SIM] Solar PV

Hello All,

I am adding solar thermal too my model. The solar thermal is for the
DWH load in the building. I set up the Solar PV but am not sure how too
hook the DWH load to it. The DWH is still being supplied by natural
gas. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Holly
