The current version of TRNSYS uses constant thermal resistances, but user written components
modelling phase change material are available.

A version of EnergyPlus with variable conductivity and phase change material capability will be released in the near future. The new modules are in the final testing stage now. They will not be in Release 1.4 that will be out within a few weeks, but will be in the next one.
