Virdi,
A ground source heat pump would be considered "Electric and Other" and
require System 6 in this case.
Hope that helps,

Subject: [BLDG-SIM] Ground Source Heat Pump and Baseline
Hello All,
I have a "Nonresidential & 4 or 5 Floors & < 75,000 sqft or 5 floors or Less
& 75,000 sqft to 150,000 sqft" type of building.
If a proposed design uses geothermal heat pump, which system I should
utilize for the baseline?
Is it "System 5" or "System 6"?
I lean toward system 5 because it complies with the note under Table G3.1.1A
since Ground Source Heat pump is considered as the source of heating energy.
Please confirm.
Thanks
