[BLDG-SIM] Doe 2: Next-to-Interior-Wall

I would like clarification of what to do when situations that arise where
two spaces will be adjacent to one wall or alternatively, if the 1st floor
has two spaces and the 2nd floor has one space. When creating interior
walls the space it is next to will need to be input. So for example, if I
create an interior floor for the second floor of a building I will need
input what space it is next to. I am assume the reason why this even needs
to be inputted so that it identifies what kind of loads that wall will
undergo. So what is the best way to deal this? Shall I just create one
floor and place it next to the space with the bigger load or would it be
most accurate to create two separate interior floors to correspond with the
spaces next to.

I know it is probably just a waste of time to deal with something like this
but I am curious. Has anyone previously studied this before or is there any
documentation regarding best methods for energy modeling.

I thank you for your response.
