[BLDG-SIM] Series Chiller Modeling in DOE2

All,
A current project I am working on specifies two chillers operating in
series. The first chiller has an entering and leaving evaporator
temperature of 58F and 48.5F. The second has an entering and leaving
evaporator temperature of 48.5F and 40F. There is also a water side
economizer which causes an error when it is attached to either of the
CHW loops.

The DOE2 topics manual says series arrangements are not simulated, but
is it reasonable to define the two chillers on primary (58 to 48.5) and
secondary (48.5 to 48) loops and attach the loads to the secondary loop?
What about the water side economizer? Any thoughts or previous modeling
experience and commentary would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Sam Mason
