[BLDG-SIM] An eQUEST mailing list?

I would be in favor of a forum or a Wiki, or a combination of the two. The
mailing list is functional but cumbersome. The ability to subscribe to
different threads or topics of interest would help reduce inbox clutter.

Sincerely,

Completely not interested in a forum, I can just see everyone with their
avatars and stars and number of posts and forum ranking just emoticoning
away. Good Grieve Charlie Brown.

You know, it doesn't have to be anything elaborate. It can be as simple
as a phpbb based message board which is hosted online by whatever
company you sign up with. I have experience as an administrator on a
few different forums and I can tell you that they are very simple to
maintain and moderate.
I would be very interested in helping with this idea.

I like the forum idea also. A good forum package is sold by
http://communityserver.org. This is a commercial package and costs
$400 - $2000. There must be open source (free)
alternatives? Possibly IBPSA-USA and/or some vendors could kick in
some $ if there is not a good free choice.

There is the additional question of who would host the forum. Jason
probably doesn't want to make a career out of public service for the
simulation community.
