I believe eQUEST can handle up to 1024 zones.

Subject: [Bldg-sim] max spaces in eQuest?

I'm modeling a 20 story building in eQuest, and unfortunately can't really
use the floor multiplier option.

I am trying to add the very last floor, and eQuest appears to work if I set
one zone for the entire upper floor, but as soon as I start to sub-divide
the space (in Wizard mode) into more specific zones, the program crashes,
almost like I have exceeded the number of spaces that either eQuest can
handle, or my computer can handle.

does anyone have experience with this? Is there really a maximum # of
spaces/zones that you can model? For reference, it looks like my building
has just shy of 350 spaces/zones.
