Anis

I've been using IES for some time now and have gotten really good
experience with using FluxPro, Suncast, ModelIT and Apache Thermal. I'm
unaware of any dedicated website to FAQ of IES. However if you were to
email IES directly in Scotland they will answer your question in regards
the temp reset. I think it's as simple as doing a profile that has a
"if" formula stating that if outside air is > x, result = 1.

IES has letters assigned to all parameters. It's a matter of asking IES
or reading the manuals to find what the letter representation for
"outside air" is.
I had to do something similar for daylight level. i.e. if daylight lux
level in room is > 400, light load = 0. My formula looks like

1.00-0.05*(144-29*IFH/(IGH+.001))*IFH

I done this some time ago, please don't ask what IFH, IFH stand for but
hopefully you understand what I'm getting at.

Shall you have any other question, please feel free to consult me.

Subject: [Bldg-sim] IES<VE>

Dear All,

I know that most of us here are eQuest or Trace users, but does anyone
know if there are any IES VE mailing lists on the WWW?

Also for IES VE users: Was anyone able to model the chilled water and
hot water supply temperature reset based on outdoor temperatures as
required in the baseline case in ASHRAE90.1-2004 Appendix G?

Thank you,
