To create a design day in the detailed interface, select the "Project & Site"
tab at the top, right click on the Project Title (the very first item in the
component tree), and select Create Design Day.  Enter the parameters it asks
for and then it will take you to the "Design Day Properties" box where you
can define more detailed design day info.

Todd, 

You can tell eQUEST to run multiple Design Days by setting the start day and
the number of days in the Design Day Properties dialog box in the detailed
interface (don't know about the wizard).  For example I normally set the
start day to 6/1 and the number of days to 120.  That way it will cover all
the solar angles from June - September combined with the ASHRAE Cooling DB /
WB, and will use the heating/cooling design day schedules specified in the
Week Schedules.  I figure this should pretty much cover it, although as Carol
said there is usually a peak in the weather file that exceeds the ASHRAE
conditions.

Todd,

If you put in any data at all in the DD screens and run eQUEST it will 
do the DD sizing off that information. If you delete the data on those 
screens, however, and let the model run using the TMY data you should 
get output that looks more like what you want. The TMY data extremes are 
frequently higher than the DD input from ASHRAE and do include all the 
solar info. Try it out and see what you think.
