Christoph:

You might want to check out "ecalc.tamu.edu...go to the 'legacy" calculator", a web-based NOx, SOx and CO2 emissions calculator for Texas developed by our Laboratory for the USEPA several years back. This performs real simulations, checks them against code-compliant buildings and emails your NOx, SOx and CO2 savings to you. It also will calculate pollution savings from the installation of solar thermal, solar PV, wind and municipal retrofits. It uses eGRID values for Texas for 1999 and 2007. Soon to be updated to 2013.

Dear colleagues,

Has anybody used or assessed the http://www.bobbygilbert.co.uk/CarbonMixer.html product and (if so) could you provide some feedback? I am mostly interest in

- what database is the software based on (and is that database relevant for the US)?

- does is actually carry out an actual energy simulation?

- how suitable is it for architectural students interested in ‘net zero energy’ design (whatever that may mean in detail)?

Thanks a lot for your insight,

Christoph
