[Bldg-sim] Interior Wall Surface Type: Air = building error

Building Sim Group,

I have a number of interior spaces that are open to one another.  I want to
define joining walls as air walls.  When I do so, I get a building error
that says "AIR WALL Cannot use Layered Construction"  What do I need to do
to make these interior air walls work?
