[Bldg-sim] Ubuntu8.10 conflicts with installation of ESP-r

Dear all,

I have an internal compiler error for a g77 compiler when trying to install
the latest release of ESP-r. The code does install smoothly on a similar
laptop with a previous Ubuntu version.

So, I thought to downgrade from Ubuntu8.10 to a previous one. However, I do
not find a lot of information to do so.

Any suggestions? Or someone who solved such an error: "g77: Internal
compiler error: program f771 got fatal signal 11"?
