[Bldg-sim] Mostly commonly used energy analysis software?

Dear Fareed

That depends very much on your location. In the US my guess judging on  
the number of users on this list it must be equest closely followed by  
Trace, energyplus or doe2 in some form or another.

For the rest of the world? Energyplus or Trace then IES virtual  
environment or Bentley TAS at a guess

The UK is heavily biased to the latter 2.

There are of course others but that'll be the main ones I'd have  
thought.
