That entirely is a function of what type of growing media and moisture
content. Every seminar I have been in said it does add insulation value, but
you can't count on it due to the variable presented by moisture and soil mix
content.

Does anyone have good data on soil for green roofs? I am trying to determine
the minimum amount of insulation needed for a roof with soil on top. Maybe
an R-value per inch would help? I appreciate any help I can get.
