[Bldg-sim] Frameless Windows

Jon,

It seems you mean the glazing has no mullions. However, it will still have frame at the edges where it connects to the wall- typical in case of storefront windows.

So to answer your question- the assembly and c-o-g values will not be the same. You'll have to model the whole assembly performance values.

If it is an NFRC rated glazing then you should be able to get the data from the manufacturer.

Subject: [Bldg-sim] Frameless Windows

I'm simulating a retail building for LEED submission and I would like to ask if it is correct that since these has no frames, assembly U value and SHGC will be equal to the center of glass u-values. Is this correct?

Many thanks!

Jon
