Company: ETC Group, LLC, Salt Lake City, UT
Position type: Full time with benefits
Closing date: March 21, 2011

Do you want to use your skills to support an environmentally sustainable
economy? Would you like to work with a small but growing energetic team
dedicated to energy efficiency and sustainability? Are you hard working
and flexible? ETC Group offers challenging work in an open, friendly,
supportive environment with flexible scheduling and comfortable
life/work balance.

ETC Group is seeking an experienced Energy Simulation Engineer to
support our growing new construction integrated design practice. The
successful candidate will have a high level of competency with energy
simulation software, a working knowledge of building energy systems and
excellent verbal and written communication skills. The candidate will be
willing and able to inform the strategic and technical direction of new
construction design projects and support design teams in key aspects of
optimizing building design and operation.

Our energy simulation work concentrates on early integration with new
construction design teams but we are sometimes included late in the
design process. We also perform design reviews and review energy
modeling work for demand side management programs. The primary focus of
this position is to provide energy simulation support and effective
communication with quick and appropriate responses to these diverse
projects. It is critical that the candidate work effectively with
owners, architects, and engineers to help identify energy efficiency
opportunities, quantify savings, communicate energy efficiency
opportunities and results. Since we are a small company, this position
may involve other work including energy auditing, energy systems
commissioning, retrocommissioning and measurement and verification.

The candidate will work on multiple projects, interact with clients,
ensure quality of deliverables and completion of projects on time and
within budget. The candidate will assign tasks to project team members,
receive assignments, share technical expertise, participate in the
project management team and work independently as needed. Experience
with conducting on site field inspections, installing/operating field
monitoring equipment, conducting investment grade audits, and other
related tasks is beneficial.

The successful candidate will have proficient time management,
organizational, and presentation skills, be highly self-motivated and
flexible to changes in deadlines and work focus.
