[Bldg-sim] LEED Energy Modelling: Local Code Vs. ASHRAE 90.1-2007

Hi All,

 

For LEED 2009, in relation to EA P2 (Minimum Energy Performance) and EA
C1 (Optimise Energy Performance) can anyone confirm whether the local
code must be applied to the baseline building, if local code is more
stringent than ASHRAE 90.1-2007?

 

For other credits, LEED is clear that compliance must be shown by
applying the more stringent code but for EA P2 and EA C1, it ambiguously
states that "If the project is using a computer simulation, adhere to
Appendix G of ASHRAE 90.1-2007 or equivalent local code". 

 

Any advice appreciated if you have worked on any projects where local
code is more stringent than ASHRAE 90.1.
