Also, check out COMNET (http://www.comnet.org/mgp-manual).  The MGP manual contains a set of internal gain assumptions for each building type and space category.  The plug loads were derived from CBECS data.  It also contains lighting gain info from 90.1 and Title 24, schedule assumptions (also from ASHRAE and T24), plus occupancy assumptions, and gas process loads.

Use the ASHRAE Fundamentals book for internal load calculations for a large list of average values of kitchen and office equipment. 

Also the 90.1 User's manual has a table G-B in the back that has some average densities that usually is a good start, but it is always different for your specific building application and use.
