Have you found a place to do your PhD, yet? Dr Ivan Korolija was working with me on quantifying HVAC system energy consumption versus building heating and cooling load. He finished recently; you can find his PhD thesis here: http://www.iesd.dmu.ac.uk/~jeplus/wiki/doku.php?id=research:publications <http://www.iesd.dmu.ac.uk/~jeplus/wiki/doku.php?id=research:publications> . What he found was that a power law regression model typically gives a good prediction of office building HVAC consumption in the UK, if the building's loads are known. Of course during the study, we found more questions need to be addressed, than those have been covered by the thesis. If you are interested in this area, please let me or Ivan know.

I want to do Ph.D in energy efficient buildings. I have done M.Tech in Mechanical engineering. I  want to do something related to HVAC ... I am not able to think for a topic. Please help me out. Please help me for my topic and if possible those who have already done Ph.D in this field , please do let me know how to further proceed.
