[Bldg-sim] 90.1 Occupancy

Robert,
Nick is right on.
Two more schedule resources for energy models are:
1. The COMNET Commercial Building Energy Modeling Guidelines and Procedures
available online at: http://www.comnet.org/. The schedules in this document
are identical to and taken directly from the ASHRAE 90.1 User's Manual.
2. The U.S. Department of Energy Commercial Reference Building Models of
the National Building Stock produced by NREL. They can be obtained from
the following link: http://www.nrel.gov/docs/fy11osti/46861.pdf. The
schedules are found in Appendix B of this document and were developed from
resources as far back as 90.1-1989. The schedules include several extended
building sizes and types not included in 90.1. The notes say some of the
schedules have been modified based on NREL's research, experience and
judgement.
Finally, I would take the recommendation of Nick one step further and try
to get agreement from the Owner on things like operating and occupancy
schedules in an OPR type of document or something. Especially if you are
trying to make an estimate of future energy cost/consumption which is not
always a good idea without some kind of disclaimer.
Hope this helps, good luck,
Dennis
