[Bldg-sim] TMY3 Weather files - middle of the ocean

Two students have a background in marine sciences involving ocean 
platforms and are learning building energy modelling.

Is there a source for weather data that is generated from something like 
a buoy or something that would not have any wind-blocks or other land 
based influences?

I see there is data available on the EERE website for Kwajalein Atoll in 
Marshall Islands but Im not sure if there are any big differences 
between this data and a sole platform in the middle of the ocean.

Although the study is a purely a hypothetical exercise, close to Norway 
would be ideal!
