USGBC-NCC Workshop: LEED v4 and Building Performance Modeling Requirements in California-Free
Date & Time: October 15th 11am-1pm PDT
Description This session will cover the major LEED credits specific to ‘Building Performance Modeling’ in California and discuss how software can be used to achieve such heavily-weighted and analytical-intensive credits. Major areas of focus will include Integrative Process, Daylight & Views, Thermal Comfort of Occupants, Green Power, Ventilation and Optimize Energy Performance. In California, the performance of building energy is already mandated under Title 24 and incentivized under the Savings by Design program. This session will look at how California’s new Title 24 code compliance (2013 Standards for non-residential) relates to LEED’s Optimize Energy Performance, and beyond.

Date & Time: October 20th and 21st  from 9am-5pm both days.
Description: Day 1 will cover Intermediate Simulation Analysis & Day 2 will cover Advanced & Building Integrated System Modeling.  Existing and new users are invited to join, however, Day 2 will be more advanced so new users will need to have joined Day 1 as well.  Student discounts are available and students who join will receive a free student license for a year.

The goal is that at the end of the training attendees will have the basic skills needed to begin using the software for 2013 Title 24 compliance documentation for nonresidential buildings. This course is approved for 8 LU for AIA CEU and 8 GBCI.
