Description:

For our July meeting, we will have members of the NYC Department of Buildings Technical Affairs Unit present on energy modeling for compliance with the commercial chapter of the 2014 New York City Energy Code.

The presentation will cover the following:

*                     What triggers the performance compliance path in the commercial chapter?

*                     Is an energy model only required for enclosure compliance, should mechanical/lighting designers still submit COMcheck reports?  Or does the energy model cover all three?

*                     What are the options within performance path (i.e., ASHRAE 2010 v. NYC ECC)?

*                     If following ASHRAE 90.1-2010, do you have to model per Ch. 11 ECB and Normative App. G?

*                     What does Appendix A of 2014 NYC ECC require?

*                     What supporting documentation is required?  What should be included on drawings (EN sheets)?
