Re: [EnergyPlus_Support] Verification of Purchased air heating/cooling energy value

Rajendra:

What you are trying to do is not simple. It is only possible for a
steady-state case or a building with no thermal mass. When thermal
mass is present, heat gains and HVAC loads do not coincide.

For internal loads, individual report variables are available for
people, lights, etc. There are also a set of total convective,
radiant, etc. gains for the zone. These variables are named:

Zone-Total Radiant Heat Gain[J]
Zone-Total Convective Heat Gain[J]
etc.

For windows, Window Heat Gain[W] and Window Heat Loss[W] is reported
for individual windows. Or Zone Window Heat Gain[W] and Zone Window
Heat Loss[W] report the total for all windows in a zone.

For opaque exterior surfaces, it is more difficult. The load on the
space from an opaque surface is determined by the temperature
difference between the inside surface temperature and the air
temperature multiplied by the inside convection coefficient.
