Also, the calculated design days are already available
as part of the .ZIP file and shown in the .STAT you can
download from the EnergyPlus web site--look at the .DDY
file in the .ZIP:

If you run the weather converter (to get statistics or .csv version) and
there is no "ASHRAE" design day data, it will produce some statistics that
should help you make a design day.

Run the WeatherConverter program and make a .csv file -- then use Excel or
some other spreadsheet program to read the .csv file.  It will show
"headers" for each of the fields and should make more sense.
