[EnergyPlus_Support] HAVC Design Doubt

Hi,
  I have another doubt.I want to design the HVAC system for a 
building.In my opinion,there are two approachs.I don't know which is 
correct.
  First approach:Create the building model;Add the simplest 
system:purchased air and add the zone thermostatic control;Run 
simulation to gain approximate zone load;Use the load value to select 
HVAC equipment.
  Second approach:Create the building model and Add the HVAC system 
directly;Run the simulation with the HVAC equipment's most variables 
autosized;according to the simulation results to adjust HVAC 
equipment or select again.
