Re: [EnergyPlus_Support] difference between core and perimeter ground temperatures in the slab program?

We have about 5 years of measured slab temperatures (center, N edge and S edge) in a Habitat House in Texas.

Very strange patterns, doesn't track the outdoor temp much. The center slab basically tracks the indoor temp within about a week. The north temp is always the coolest and the South side is the Warmest in the summer and about midway in the winter between the center meas and north meas.

Subject: [EnergyPlus_Support] difference between core and perimeter ground temperatures in the slab program?

Hi,

I wanna know the difference between core and perimeter ground
temperatures in the slab program.

I set the core temperature as a schedule in OtherSideCoefficient, to
used as a OutsideFaceEnvironment in floor surfaces; and I set the
perimeter temperature as a GroundTemperatures object, is it correct?

The guide doesn´t explain how to set the ground temperature using the
core and the perimeter temperatures, just says that one have to use
the OtherSideCoefficient.

Thanks,

Michele
