[EnergyPlus_Support] Re: Simple Night + Day Ventilation

Hi Brent

Thanks for the advice regarding , "how to get a second ventilation
object to operate on a zone".

I am not sure if this is going to work for me though.
I have created two zones, Zone A (the real zone) and Zone B ( the
dummy zone) and linked these together using two mixing objects.

By applying the second "Ventilation Object" indirectly to Zone A
using Zone B, the "Ventilation Object" is losing access to the
internal temperatures in Zone A, which it needs to control night
ventilation properly.

I know that by using two Mixing Objects and a high volume flow rate
it is possible to force Zone B to be the same temperature as Zone A,
but a consequence of this is that the air in Zone B heats up and the
benefits of night ventilation available to Zone A are lost to some degree.
Essentially my model is not getting as cold at night using this
system as it would using a standard ventilation object.

Sorry if I have not explained my concerns very clearly, or if I have
misunderstood your suggestions.

Kind Regards

Rory
