Re: [EnergyPlus_Support] trouble in converting weather data (*.csv) by EXCEL

The problem is that the cell is being interpreted as a date. I did a
"turn off automatic date formatting" in Excel help and came up with
this possible solution:

Format cells using a different locale

The formats for Date, Time, and Special can be set to conform to
different locales.
    * Select the cells you want to format.
    * On the Format menu, click Cells, and then click the Number tab.
    * In the Category box, click either Date, Time, or Special.
    * In the Locale (location) box, select a locale to see sample
formats for that locale in the Type box.
    * Select the desired number format from the Type box.
    * Click OK.
Choosing a US locale might do the trick?

Or, you could edit with a text editor (Wordpad but not Notepad --
because of the file size) and convert it that way.
