Re: [EnergyPlus_Support] Unitary equipment



To model a unitary VAV system, it would be easiest to start with COMPACT 
HVAC:*:VAV objects and skip the plant loops.  Run this (EnergyPlus will fail, 
but that's OK) and take the resulting expidf file and make the following 
changes:

1.  In the main branch of the air loop, put in a DXSystem:AirLoop instead of 
the chilled water coil.

2.  Delete the chilled water cooling coil object and its branch and controller, 
and delete the controller from the controller list.

3.  Add a DXSystem:AirLoop and COIL:DX:MultiSpeed:CoolingEmpirical and related 
objects.

That should do it.  Use example file 5ZoneAutoDXVAV.idf as a guide.
