Custom end-use categories are only supported for a limited set of components at 
this time.  You can, however, create custom meters.  The following object would 
collect all DX coil energy use (compressors and condenser fans) onto a single 
meter:

CUSTOM METER,
    Custom DX Cooling Meter, !- Name of Meter
    Electricity,             !- Fuel Type
    *,                       !- Key Name #1
    DX Cooling Coil Electric Consumption;  !- Report Variable or Meter Name #1


This will not add a new line to the ABUPS end-use table, but it can be reported 
just as any other meter:

Report Meter,
    Custom DX Cooling Meter, !- Meter_Name
    monthly;                  !- Reporting_Frequency


Connections to all meters (master, end-use, and custom) are shown in the mtd 
output file.
