Re: [EnergyPlus_Support] Window simulation



What specific window properties did you change?  In EnergyPlus 
MATERIAL:WINDOWGLASS, you specify reflectances and transmittances, and the 
remaining solar energy is absorbed in the glass.  With all other inputs equal, 
a lower transmittance will result in higher absorptance which will increase the 
glass temperature and offset some of the benefits of the lower transmittance.  
Perhaps it would help to report the surface temperatures and other window-
related report variables both models to help explain the results.
