DesignBuilder version 2 will generate user-defined zone names and more
readable schedule names when exporting IDF data.  We expect to include these
changes in a relatively early version 2 beta which should be available early
next year.

I believe one of the next versions of DesignBuilder is going to be
more flexible in zone naming if that helps.
